Discounted Northern Michigan Attractions – Including Mackinac

We are in the midst of planning a trip to explore the Upper Peninsula of Northern Michigan in August. We plan to share with you our various stops along the way, detailing our accommodation choices with the hopes that it will help you plan your trip to that area. We are going to use #tccdoestheup on all our posts about the trip.

Because we are frugal, we are also hoping to find discounted northern Michigan attractions as well. In searching online for coupons and deals we came across Michigan Travel Mall. It is a website ran by a northern Michigan radio station WJML. They offer local deals for attractions, accommodations, golf, restaurants and more. We found 2 really good deals on there that we took advantage of and we wanted to share with you (they are both still available as of this morning).

Mackinac State Historic Parks – 3 parks for $12 (save 48%)

This ticket is good for 7 days from the first use and allows entrance into Colonial Michilimackinac, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. They are all located in Mackinac City.

GarLyn Zoological Park – $5 per adult or $15 for family pass

This zoo looks nice, and it is located right off scenic US2, about 40 west of Mackinac Bridge. You can find Garlyn Zoo on Facebook.

To buy any of these deals you simply go to Michigan Travel Mall and complete your order. There is no shipping fee, and our tickets arrived via mail in about 5 days. What a deal!

There are many different offers listed, but we found these 2 the best. (They had a Mackinac Island carriage tour deal but it is sold out – hopefully more to come!).
